Solomon Park Research Laboratories
supplies human blood products for external quality controls,
proficiency testing and calibrators. Solomon Park also provides phlebotomy
services. The laboratory serves as a repository for ultra-low freezer
storage for human serum and plasma for a number of ongoing projects in heart
disease and diabetes.
Solomon Park Research Laboratories was founded in 1984.
The laboratory has been located in Kirkland, Washington since its inception.
The facility is a major supplier of fresh and frozen human serum and plasma obtained
from donors with known lipid values. The laboratory also provides phlebotomy services
for studies using smaller quantities of blood. In addition to these products and services,
which are used for quality controls, standards and proficiency testing materials by a outside
laboratories, Solomon Park houses a large number of –80o freezers for longitudinal studies.
Ultra-low temperature storage space can be leased in freezers already at Solomon Park or freezers
provided by outside laboratories
