Contact us at Solomon Park Research Labs now to buy blood plasma and discuss what human plasma samples you require for your research study.

If we don't have it, we will find it!

At Solomon Park, we are proud of the fact that our extensive donor database allows us to source the right donors to meet your human blood plasma requirements, whether for healthy or diseased blood plasma. And should we not have a donor for your plasma needs on our database, we will source a suitable donor to ensure that your research study is a success.

Why use Human Plasma Samples?

Human plasma samples (in vitro) are used in research studies like the study that was drawn up to test whether delays in blood sample processing in kidney dialysis treatment can be eliminated. Lab technicians usually have to wait for the blood clotting to complete before testing the blood drawn from the patient.

This study asked whether one of the two following ways can shorten this waiting time:

  • Extracting the serum from the whole blood sample.
  • Extracting the plasma from the whole blood sample and adding specific separator gels.

The outcomes of this study showed that the human plasma samples provide improved testing outcomes when treating patients with End-Stage-Renal Disease. In order to complete this study, in vitro human plasma and serum samples from donors were used. Plasma and serum from a healthy donor were used as the control sample or to determine the reference values. And diseased serum and plasma were used to answer the study’s question.

Should you wish to donate blood to contribute towards research studies such as these, contact our donor center for advice on how to become part of our donor program.

This research study is just one of the many studies that have been successful because of the donation of human plasma samples to Solomon Park Research Laboratories: helping us help scientists improve human health by asking and answering the questions that matter.

Note: Our human plasma products are intended only for in vitro use and for manufacturing and research projects. They are not suitable for human or animal use. While we make every effort to ensure our products’ safety, we advise handling any biological materials with standard precautions as if capable of spreading infectious disease.
