Follow the step-by-step process to understand how we source, draw, process, and deliver the right biological serum solution that meets your in vitro research study’s requirements
- The process starts when we receive a request from you, the research scientist or program director, looking for a human serum resource for your research study.
- The second step is to connect with our vast database of donors to find blood donors that meet the research study’s requirements. We then either draw the full 500 ML of blood from each donor or do what we call a short-draw or only draw 50 mL of whole blood from each donor.
- The third and final step is to separate out the serum from the whole blood, filter it, pool it, freeze it, and ship it to the research facility using our trademarked SPRL-StoTrac™ cryogenic storage and shipping service.
